Alex Builds StudioPrivacy Policy
This policy explains what information Alex Builds Studio ("I", "the studio") collects and how it is used. Questions: alexbuildsstudio@gmail.com.
Information I collect
- Email you send me. If you contact me, I receive your email address and whatever you include, such as your name, business name and website.
- Client project information. Business details, photos and text you provide, or that are publicly available about your business, used to build your site.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Waffo, which acts as the Merchant of Record for orders. I don't receive or store your card or bank details. I only see basic order details, such as your name, email address, the package bought, the amount and the payment date.
- Basic technical data. The hosting provider may process standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure this website. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How I use it
- To reply to you and provide the services you ask for.
- To build, host and maintain your website.
- To handle billing and keep required records.
I don't sell your personal information.
Sharing
Information is shared only with service providers needed to run the studio, or when required by law. These are:
- Google (Gmail) for email.
- Vercel for hosting this website and preview sites.
- Cloudflare for domain name (DNS) and email routing.
- Waffo as payment processor and Merchant of Record. When you pay, Waffo collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
How data is stored and how long I keep it
- Where it's stored. Emails, and the files and details you send, are stored in my Gmail account (Google). Preview and sample websites are hosted on Vercel. DNS and email forwarding for alexbuildsstudio.com run on Cloudflare. Payment data is handled by Waffo and is never stored by me.
- Project emails and files are kept for the length of your project and for 2 years after delivery, so I can help with later questions or changes, and are then deleted.
- Order and billing records (such as the amount, date and package) may be kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Emails from people who don't become clients are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Preview websites built for a business that doesn't go ahead are taken down on request, and in any case within 6 months.
- Deletion on request. You can ask me to delete your information at any time. I'll do so within 30 days, except for records I must keep by law.
Data is protected with the security measures provided by these services, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and account two-step verification where available.
Your rights and choices
You can ask me to access, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you, or to stop emailing you, at any time by emailing alexbuildsstudio@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
