Why I started the studio

A lot of excellent local businesses, like the body shop with decades of happy customers or the family restaurant everyone recommends, still have a website that's hard to use on a phone, shows the wrong hours, or doesn't exist at all. The owners know it. They just don't have the time, or the budget for a big upfront project.

So I built a simpler model: I design a preview of your new site first, for free, using your real business details. If you like it, you pay once, from $599, and the site is yours: files, content and domain. No subscription. If you don't like it, you owe nothing.

How I work

• Online-only. The studio has no storefront or local office. Everything happens online, which is how I can work with businesses anywhere in the US.
• Email-first. Your preview, edits, files and billing all happen by email at alexbuildsstudio@gmail.com, so everything is clear and in writing.
• One person, start to finish. The person who designs your site is the person who builds and launches it.
• Honest by default. I don't promise rankings or results I can't control, and sample designs are always clearly labeled as samples.

What a local business website should do

Answer the customer's questions quickly (what you do, where, when you're open, what it costs), make the next step obvious, and look as good as the work you actually do. Everything else is secondary.
